With 43 years of hands-on offshore umbilical and cable experience, JUMA Energy is well suited to procure umbilicals and telecom cable while overseeing the manufacturing process. JUMA will then utilize its relationships with numerous umbilical and cable manufacturers to place multiple purchase orders for cables then join with former company Deep Down, Inc.'s unique UTAs (Umbilical Termination Assemblies) so multiple manufacturers can collaborate on the cable length and operate as one. Cables are manufactured for our unique installation carousels and are towed to the field and connected to the DP End Caps and DP Crawler or lifted by the HLI (Heavy Lift Installer) allowing the installation spread to remain in the field installing cable and not spending valuable time in transit and or transpooling cable. JUMA Energy’s unique approach is safer and saves the project valuable time and money.

UTA (Umbilical Termination Assembly) Supply

 

Deep Down, Inc.’s (AKA Koil Energy) unique UTA maximizes the storage benefits on carousels and provides for easy deployment off the carousel and into the water with equal capability for first and second end deployment. Seabed stability and long-term cathodic protection and branching capability offers maximum flexibility to operate and maintain the system.

Installation - Deepwater

 

The HLI (Heavy Lift installer) lifts the carousel barge with or without DP End aps and provides dynamically positioned installation in rougher sea conditions eliminating expensive transit time or time to transpool which is safer, shortens project duration and saves money.

Installation - Shallow Water

 

The replacement installation carousel barges are towed to the DP End Cap/Crawler keeping the installation components in the field. UTAs are landed on both ends into target boxes within range of the OFLs (Optical Flying Leads). Once a carousel barge is empty, the DP End Cap/Crawler modules are released then connected to the next full carousel barge. The deliveries from cable manufacturers around the world can be coordinated with installation progress so transit distances are shortened. Installation of the next cable leg continues and the process repeats. The DPC (DP Crawler) is ideal in calmer water and especially shallow water as it can move along the route with DP azimuthing thrusters and when water is too shallow for thrusters, the crawler legs are lowered and crawl along the bottom remotely. This JUMA Energy proprietary system eliminates the difficulty of moored shallow water applications and deeper DP applications and will allow us to lay cables along the coast, into outlets, and in rivers where conventional installation vessels are unable to perform.
